Glorious Return!

Greetings loyal followers!  Chuck Magnusson here, returning from an almost certain dramatic adventure through space, time, and alternate universes.  Quite a few things going down here and there that required my dramatic gaze.  But now!  I return to a glorious celebration to my victory!  I conquered evil, protected the future of Mankind, and got some nice tail while I was at it.

I also read through Marvel's 'Civil War' for the first time.  Good stuff.

Look what comes out in a month!

Oh so giddy...

Although it has crap for launch titles, I may or may not pick up Super Street Fighter 3D, and take it to the other fighters with the Oh so Famous SAIKYO STYLE!

Since I've returned to this time stream, and playing the CRAP out of Marvel Vs. Capcom 3, I decided it was high time to read Civil War, something I've been itching to do for several months.  It was quite great.  And personally, I prefer Marvel to DC  (Bracing for impact)  It got me really wanting to start reading more superhero comics, and not just the occasional obscure non Marvel, non DC comic.

One more piece of gaming awesome.

DOHOHO, I am SUPER Giddy for this one.

I've always preferred Elder Scrolls to Fallout (well Fallout 3 and New Vegas to be exact)  And this is oh so exciting.

Something else even more exciting!

OH MY GOD!  WHY WON'T THE FALL GET HERE!

Seriously, I would kill to get my hands on this right now.
My most anticipated game of the year.
I'm in the beta though.  That was one of the few redeeming qualities for buying Medal of Honor.
And now that I've seen the game in kind of action, I would gladly buy another mediocre game to play it.

One more thing!

I've been playing the shite out of Marvel Vs. Capcom 3, so if someone wishes to play me, well I shant deny.

Gaming info for the other posters and the few readers out there!

Seeing a pattern here aren't ya?

I must now return to the lab, it's been a pressing few weeks in the space time continuum, and I need a holiday!  A holiday until NEXT weekend that is.

Until then True Believers

Laff's Superbowl Sunday spectacular!... on Tuesday

Hey there, folks! your favorite beard, here, talkin to you about the Superbowl!  No, I don't mean the game, but the stuff that was supposed to be more entertaining than men groping eachother and playing with balls.  First up, the commercials... Now, they didn't show very many OMG commercials, but there were trailers for Captain America and Super 8 (which I will cover next week). Other than that, the ads were "meh".
Next on the list is the game time entertainment.  First up, Christina Agulara did her impression of "Don't Forget the Lyrics" and screwed up the national anthem.  Everyone else was booing, but I was laughing my ass off. Then, for the halftime show, the black eye peas didn't do much better.  There were sound problems, tron people everywhere (which got kinda old) and the light up word "LOVE"started burning out, so it really said "LO 'E" Fergie destroyed a random song, and Usher almost got stuck on the wire... all in all, I found it highly entertaining, but not for the reasons they wanted.

Unfortunatly, no nipples came out to say hello, but there is always next year

Lee's Second Opinion

Since Rob let you drown on the whole Green Hornet review. Let me tell you.
I don't care who said that movie was terrible. They were lying. They are dummies and idiots. I guess some people could argue that the Green Hornet was serious and they took this movie like a joke. I wouldn't necessarily argue with them, but the guy currently writing The Green Hornet comic books is Kevin Smith, so I would say their argument is a bit invalid. Yes, I used to listen to the Green Hornet radio show. Yes, I've seen the old TV show with Bruce Lee as Kato. So you know what? Who cares. This is BRILLIANT. Also I lost count of how many jokes there were insisting that the Green Hornet and Kato were gay together. My favorite came from Britt Reid (Seth Rogan): I think you're blowing this a little out of proportion. "I'll blow him in whatever proportion I want!" Ah, brilliant. Anyway, see this damn movie. It's awesome. It's better than awesome. It's amazing. I couldn't stop laughing. I think I spit all over Rob. It's great. You will love it.

RRR (Rob's random review)

I'm saying its random because I didn't review the trailer, but this movie is too good to pass up (that and Lee probably wouldn't let me hear the end of it if I didn't write about it).  This weekend Lee and I went and saw Green Hornet, which, lets face it, was awesome!  I don't normally like movies with a lot of guns, but I gotta get a gas gun.  The whole movie kept me laughing... not as hard as Lee, who I thought I would need to call an ambulance on, he was laughing so hard, but still, absolutley hilarious!  I hear the mythbusters had an episode dedicated to how just about everything done in GH couldn't be done in real life.  This I gotta see! Anyway, I'm keeping this short for tonight, as I am working on my movie script as well.  But I'm sure Lee will write a review as well, more in depth than myself, so I will leave you wil a 9 out of 10!

Love you!

The Lee-tastic review hour (Or minute, or whatever)

So, so many awesome things happened this week that I wanna talk about. I also need to make up for being sick as hell last week. So I'm gunna talk about a Plot Script for a TV show that I was given a chance to read (The guy who plays Chewbacca is already signed on.), give a short rant about vampires, and then talk about a Web Comic I came across earlier today that I fell in love with.

Firsts things first. Dead Reckoning at High Moon. You won't read anything on it on the web because it's in Pre-pre-pre-production. I mean early stages. It may not even make it to TV. It's a TV show that tackles the challenge of vampires, werewolves, zombies, bat creatures and dream demons in the Old West. It takes ancient Hopi and Mayan legends mixes them together in a way and uses them as the Origin stories for Vampires and Werewolves as well as a slew of other supernatural creatures that I mentioned above. The guy got vampires right and gave them an awesome power that I commend him for. Using their blood to make zombies. It may not be completely original but it's damn cool. From what I can tell it centers around a man named Dallas Blackburn who lost his family to vampires and is travelling with the former Hopi tribe who are now a tribe of Werewolves in order to stop the vampires. There are plenty of other characters including the drunk explorer Hanz, The Billy-Bob bounty hunters(One of which single handedly wields a gattling gun at the end battle.), Father Patrick and his nuns(Father Patrick is a pimp and the Nuns are prostitutes), and Los Docenta Banditos or something like that who at the end become Los Tres Banditos. It's pretty awesome from what I've read and I can't wait till it comes on television. If it makes it.

The second thing is a little rant on vampires. I'm not a big fan of how vampires are being portrayed in media these days. Vampires grow weak in sunlight. Vampires are intimidating, but most of all, vampires cannot be sexual creatures. To put it plain and simple, they're dead. They're are no longer human, and thus they have become above our petty views on sexuality. Sure, they use it from time to time to feed, but it's not something they should favor. If you are already not agreeing with me, let me ask you this question, Would you fuck your food?.

Anyway, lastly is a web comic I came across this morning. I just finished reading it all before I posted. I read alot of web comics like Questionable ContentLeast I Could Do, and Ctrl+Alt+Del. This is a typical web comic about an air headed sexual deviant with a loyal if somewhat violent best friend and strange lovable, but pretty evil pet, and a loyal girlfriend despite his idiocies... Wow, I think I just described an amalgamation of all three of the above mentioned comics. Anyway without further ado I present Nerf This. It's pretty cool.

Anyway, that's all for today. Remember, I'm Lee and I'm awesome.

The Mind of Laff

First off, no reviews this week (expect a lot after the superbowl).  So I have decided to tell everyone about this tv show idea I got last night.  It's about  a woman who wakes up mysteriously in the hospital one day.  I say mysteriously because she knows all about everyone on the planet up to the point of when she wakes up (her knowledge of everyone stops once she opens her eyes,he keeps all the knowledge she discovers while she was out).  The only thing is, nobody on earth seems to know who she is.  There are no dental records, bank statements, her existance has pretty much been wiped off the map... she doesn't even know who she is!  Then this guy finds her while she is walking through a garden outside the hospital, so he starts to call her "Rose" as a nickname.  So now he and she must travel the globe to find out what is going on with her.

I call it "By Any Other Name"
Thoughts?
