Lee's Obscure Game Collection: Mummy: The Resurrection

Now I know what you're thinking. Lee, you do alot of White Wolf games. Well, yes. I do. Why? Because I'm an avid White Wolf fanboy and thus I have alot of White Wolf books. Wanna fight about it? Thought not.

Today's book is Mummy: The Resurrection. This game is pretty awesome in it's own right. The best thing I think, about Mummy is the fact that you get to play a guy who cannot die. You heard me. You're character just gets put down and gets back up again. Now to be fair you have to spend some pretty important stats to rez and even then the roll to get back up might fail and you have to sacrifice those stats again, but it's still pretty useful. The powers in the game are okay and as far as White Wolf powers go, they are not the best, but when you just can't stay dead they are a helpful addition. Mummys feel to me like stand alone characters. They work best in a group of another type of WoD character. Why? Because they have powers to compliment others.

I'm currently playing in a World of Darkness mix and match game with two Werewolves, A Werespider, a hunter, and I was playing one of two mages. However, because the storyteller felt me and the other Mage were cheating because he didn't know the system well enough, he has asked us to play other characters. My partner in Magey crime chose Changeling and I'm going Mummy. My character is statted to be a freaking tank, and you know what. I'm awesome for it. I'll even let you know after tomorrow how I fare in my first combat as a Mummy.
